Before the President jetted off to another democratic fundraiser (shows how much he cares) he spoke on the Charleston, SC Church shooting. We as Americans expected to hear from our leader on this tragedy but as usual he had to politicize it. Did we expect this? Yes. Here is the problem with his words, Pres Obama misled the nation on how the weapon used was acquired. He even admitted all the facts weren’t in but jumped to the conclusion suggesting the weapon used was obtained through a flawed system.
The gun used by the killer, Dylann Storm Roof, was a gift purchased by his father and given to Roof for his 21st birthday. Did the President make this clear? No. The media knew it which is how myself and many other Americans were aware so surely someone in his administration knew. But Obama didn’t say it, instead the admin chose to mislead the nation where those uninformed logically concluded Roof got the weapon though myths purported by the anti-gun crowd. Myths like “the gun was purchased without a background check”, “from the trunk of a car at the gun show” or whatever else they have concocted and convinced Americans is fact over the years.
We later learned today from one of the killer’s friends the gun was taken away from Roof by his mother because she didn’t trust him!
Again no mention of this by Pres Obama because all he had to do was put the idea the gun was acquired easily through “loopholes” in the system the anti-gun crowd has been pushing.
It was obvious the President used this tragedy to advance he and his party’s anti-gun agenda. Those in power will never be happy until every single American is disarmed.
