The ATF is being used as a scapegoat to ram gun control through vs by Congress because there is
NO LEGISLATIVE PROCESS for a rule change by the Bureau. This will give members of Congress an escape hatch to deny any role in the making of new regs/ rules, for bump stocks, that could render semi-auto weapons illegal!

So now they found a way to do an end run around Congress and get the law passed without passing a law, and the NRA is helping them to do it!”
If you are a staunch Second Amendment supporter you need to watch this video. A firearm, simply by the way you operate it could make it illegal, if the ATF is allowed to pass a rule change with regards to bump fire stocks and other devices that increase the rate of fire of semi-auto weapons.
There’s been a lot of back and forth with regards to a bump stock ban and whether or not it will be expanded to include any device that increases the rate of fire. Former Interim Chief of the ATF Firearms Tech Branch, Rick Vasquez, goes into deep detail with MAC to explain what you heard along the grapevine is actually far worse!

One of the key takeaways is the generational effect MAC and Vazquez discuss. Progressives work for change over the long-term where people 10-20+ years for now won’t know any better, they won’t have a clue about how things used to be. Instead they’ll be programmed with propaganda over how bad all these weapon were and the world is a better place without. Meanwhile terrorists and criminals will continue business as usual.
The time to comment on the ATF site has expired, my apologies for not posting this sooner but I didn’t see it in time. There is time to ride members of Congress who are pro-2A to step in and stop this end-run around them. Call your representatives, express your concerns, urge them to take action and don’t be rude, this is very serious.
As pointed out in the Q& A segment, Pres Trump has the power to stop this, as well as Jeff Sessions. The House Oversight Committee can also be pressured to take action to stop the rule change. Stopping this won’t happen if no one is talking about it, that’s why, even though the time to comment is over, I’m posting this. We need to get active like liberals do, they put their money where their mouth is, unlike those on the right who are critical over how intense the Left goes on an issue. This is a very big deal America!!
