While the nation deals with the Houston floods, the battle against the Second Amendment continues. Seattle enacted a gun and ammunition tax 2 years ago, to curb gun violence, that backfired not generating revenue politicians had hoped for. The tax has pushed gun businesses out of the city to suburbs and now corrupt leadership wants to double down on the tax! Anti-gun activist, Mark Glaze appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight to argue in favor of more taxes…
As the debate expanded into general gun control, Glaze put the true hypocrisy of Liberals on display citing Michael Bloomberg’s need for armed security. He argued Bloomberg had armed security to defend against “Bad guys with guns”. Carlson rebutted whether a business owner has the same right that Glaze denied an equal because Bloomberg is a public figure. The argument is about a citizen, rich or poor, having a weapon to defend themselves against a criminal. Glaze more of less admitted the little guy’s need for a weapon isn’t as important as public figures,
“Guess what he’s protecting himself against? Bad guys with guns.”
Bloomberg, rich Liberals, Hollywood celebrities and the like are more important you see. They can have access to weapons to protect themselves against bad guys with guns, but the rest of us not so much!
Liberals solution is to keep guns out of the hands of bad guys, but that means out of everyone’s hands! They want a full ban and confiscation. They can’t get a law to do it so they use taxes and other state mandated regulations. Problem is, if a bad guy wants a gun they’re going to get it one way or another. Criminals don’t go down to the corner shop to buy a gun. They steal guns, buy them on the black market coming from anywhere or traffic them in from other countries.
If you want to stop gun crime stop disarming people leaving them defenseless. Force or force is the best equalizer, communities who allow people to carry weapons, concealed or open carry, have lower crime.
